Betsy Varner, PhD, HSPP
Counseling Psychologist, Founder of Rise & Find Psychological Services
If you’ve reached a point in your life when you’re sick of just getting through and ready to find a more purposeful life - you don’t have to figure this out alone. I’m Betsy, a licensed psychologist, and I specialize in supporting adults who are ready to break free from patterns of trauma, depression, and insomnia that are keeping them from living a full, meaningful life. I provide therapy virtually to individuals in Indiana and most other states in the U.S. (all PsyPact states).
With years of experience in a variety of settings, I offer therapy that is warm, individually tailored, and focused on helping you to life a life based on your personal values. Clients often tell me they feel seen and understood from session one - because they feel like they’re not alone anymore.
My job isn’t to to take away your pain or change your situation, I want to help you feel more empowered, to see your own strength, break free from harmful patterns, and find a way to live a life that is fulfilling.

States Where I Provide Therapy (in Blue)
Prior to returning to graduate school to complete my degrees in counseling, I worked as a victim advocate for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I have a decade of experience providing therapy to adults in various settings, including university counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and a VA outpatient clinic.
I’m also an adjunct professor at Ball State University, where I help teach graduate students clinical skills and support their work with clients.
I’m passionate about supporting adults who are ready to move from being stuck in survival mood to feeling more empowered, purposeful, and connected to who they are at their core.
